Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon your arrival, we’ll be there to greet you and transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to relax and unwind. Make sure to take full advantage of this time to rest.
In the evening, you’ll meet with the rest of the group for a brief orientation session. During this time, we’ll cover all the essential details about the trek ahead.
We will start early morning and we will be travelling from Kathmandu to Chame in a private vehicle. It will be long day and tiring day. It can take upto 10 hrs of drive to reach Chame.
You’ll depart from Chame, following the river toward the charming village of Bhratang, known for its apple farm and delicious fresh apple juice. After passing through the village, the trail narrows as it hugs the cliffside along the Marshyangdi River. This section offers stunning views of Paungda Danda, Annapurna II, and Pisang Peak.
Continuing on, you’ll cross a bridge over the river and ascend a steep path through a pine forest. The climb is quite challenging and forested until you arrive at the village of Dukur Pokhari. From there, the trail becomes more gradual and comfortable, leading you to your overnight stop at lower Pisang.
As one of the longest and most challenging days of the Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek, you’ll begin your day early. The trek starts with a steep ascent from Upper Pisang to the village of Ghyaru, where you’ll be rewarded with close-up views of Annapurna II and Pisang Peak.
From Ghyaru, you’ll continue the trek toward Ngawal. Although the trail eases up a bit, you’ll notice the climate becoming drier and colder as you gain altitude. Instead of descending directly to Manang, you’ll take an upward route from Ngawal to visit the ancient Braga Monastery, the largest Buddhist monastery in the Manang district. Afterward, you’ll gradually descend to Manang for an overnight stay.
This day will serve as a much-need acclimatization day at Manang. Having an acclimatization day is a great way to adjust your body with the increasing elevation and minimize the possibilities of altitude sickness.
After a well-earned acclimatization day in Manang, your journey continues toward Siri Kharka. Following breakfast, trek through a dense coniferous forest, heading southward to the village of Khangsar, one of the oldest settlements in the Manang district.
As you arrive in Khangsar, you’ll pass by an ancient monastery before continuing your trek to Siri Kharka. The path from Khangsar to Siri Kharka is mostly uphill, winding along rough and muddy roads. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of Gungang Himal and Mt. Chulu in the background. Once you reach Siri Kharka, take a stroll around the village.
After breakfast, you’ll hit the trail again, making your way to Tilicho Base Camp. Along the route, you’ll encounter a fork where the path splits into an old and a new route.
The older route involves a steep climb up to the ridgeline, making it more challenging with its continuous ascent and rough terrain. The newer route, on the other hand, maintains a steady altitude, following the slope through a narrow valley. To make the trek less demanding, you’ll take the newer route, which brings you to a high crest before descending into Tilicho Base Camp.
At dawn, you’ll embark on an early hike to the majestic Tilicho Lake, the highest lake in the world. Starting early is crucial to avoid the strong winds that pick up later in the day. The trail is steep and demanding, with vertical ascents along the mountainside. Along the way, you might spot deer and yaks grazing below the trekking path. The hike from Tilicho Base Camp to Tilicho Lake typically takes about 3 to 4 hours.
After the visit to lake we will come back to Tilicho Base camp and then will trek to Siri Kharka
You’ll begin the day with a gradual descent from Siri Kharka towards the village of Khangsar. On your way to the village, you’ll walk past a centuries-old monastery called Tare Gompa.
After some time you’ll reach the village of Gunsa. From here, you’ll get to relish the panoramic view of Annapurna range and Tilicho Peak. After enjoying the Himalayas’ view, the trail gradually heads upwards through the dense bushes of juniper. You’ll cross a few suspension bridges and walk along a relatively pleasant trail to reach Yak Kharka.
This day is by far the shortest one in Annapurna Circuit with Tilicho Lake Trek, but for all the right reasons. After breakfast, you set off from Yak Kharka and head gradually upwards towards Ledar.
As you navigate across the landslide area, you’ll reach Thorong Phedi, the last village before the mighty Thorong La Pass
You’ll begin the day early at dawn and begin the steep ascent towards the world’s highest navigable pass. Since you’ll be gaining a massive elevation from Thorong Phedi to Thorong La Pass, it is important to walk at the most comfortable pace and keep your body hydrated.
You’ll first head towards the High Camp and then to the summit of Thorong La Pass. A small chorten and a bunch of colorful prayer flags mark the top of the pass.
After spending a brief spell at the top of the pass, you’ll head down to Muktinath
We start our day form Kyangjuma/Thyangboche. The trail goes along the Dudh Kosi river.. Overnight stay at a lodge
One of the most popular treks in the world is trekking to in Annapurna Region, which offers the most exhilarating and memorable experience of all. You get to see the highest mountains of the mountains and beautiful ancient villages.
There are two seasons for the Annapurna Region. One is March – April and another is October-November.
These are the main trekking months with fairly stable conditions, good visibility.
The difficulty level of th etrek in moderate to Difficult. But it’s not a technical climb and if you’re fit enough, mentally and physically, you’re more than likely to be up to the challenge. This is a difficult trek at altitude and over at least 10 days.
You should start your physical preparation at least 3 months ahead of your climb. If you do not have access to hills and mountains, then you need to focus more on the strength and conditioning for the trek .
The Annapurna circuit trek takes 12 days to complete . The 12 Days includes days for acclimatization also and the drive from Kathmandu to Chame and drive from Muktinath to Pokhara.
Most of the tea houses on the trek have WIFI facility. But you have to pay for using the WIFI facility. The speed is not so good. It is good enough to send WhatsApp messages.
Bottled water can be purchased at most tea houses and shops along the route. Because of the altitude, it is recommended you drink in the region of 3-4 litres per day, although this can include tea and soup. We recommend using Lifestraw bottle. It will save you a lot of money because the higher you go the higher the prices for the bottled water.
Most the tea houses on the trek have charging facility. But you have to pay to avail this facility.
Yes, there is a facility to keep your extra luggage at Kathmandu. You keep it at the hotel where you will be staying.
